Travelling Butler & Household Manager (Rotational) | East Coast, USA & Bahamas| $150,000–$180,000
A highly successful private family is seeking an experienced Butler & Household Manager to join their established household team on a rotational basis.
The family has four residences across the United States, and this position will involve regular travel between the properties depending on the family's movements and requirements.
The successful candidate should be based on the East Coast of the USA and will form part of a rotational team of three, working together to ensure the family receives seamless support wherever they are in residence.

The Role
This is a hands-on position combining traditional butler service, household management and personal support.
Working as part of the three-person rotational team, you will travel between the family's US residences and provide consistent support to the principal and family.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional formal and informal food and beverage service
- Travelling between the family's four US residences according to their schedule
- Supporting the principal with day-to-day personal requirements, errands and lifestyle assistance
- Packing and unpacking for the principal and family when travelling
- Assisting with entertaining, events and guest service
- Ensuring each residence is fully prepared ahead of the family's arrival
- Working closely with household teams across the different properties to maintain consistent standards
- Overseeing day-to-day household requirements when in residence
- Providing steward/ess-style service onboard the principal's private aircraft when required
- Travelling with the principal and family as required
- Remaining flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and locations
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with a genuine background in high-level private service who is comfortable moving between residences and adapting quickly to different environments.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within an UHNW private household, family office, superyacht or comparable luxury environment
- Strong Butler and food & beverage service skills, including formal service
- Previous experience travelling with a principal or working across multiple residences
- Excellent household management and organisational skills
- A highly polished, discreet and professional manner
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a rotational team
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate the family's requirements
- A flexible approach to working hours, locations and travel
- Excellent longevity and references from previous positions
Essential Requirements
- US Passport or Green Card
- Must already be based on the East Coast, USA
- Full driving licence
- Able and willing to travel extensively within the United States
- Comfortable working across multiple private residences
- Flexible with working hours and the requirements of a rotational position
Package
- Salary: $150,000–$180,000 DOE
- Discretionary annual bonus, typically around 10%
